Why is intervention important?

 FAQs

  • A neuroaffirming approach celebrates neurodiversity by focusing on a child’s unique strengths, identity, and ways of interacting with the world. My intervention strategies respect these differences, fostering confidence, independence, and a positive sense of self.

  • Early intervention is critical because the early years of a child’s life are a time of rapid brain development and learning. Providing support at this stage can:

    • Maximise a child’s developmental potential

    • Improve communication, social, emotional, and learning skills

    • Build confidence and independence

    • Support inclusion in family, school, and community life

    • Reduce the need for more intensive support later

By identifying and addressing developmental concerns early, children have the best chance to thrive and fully participate in everyday life.

  • Sessions are tailored to the child’s needs and can include play-based learning, skill-building activities, social interaction strategies, and coaching for parents and carers. Sessions can take place at home, school, or in community settings.

  • Yes. Children can start private sessions before NDIS approval. These sessions are invoiced directly to families. Once a NDIS plan is approved, sessions can transition to NDIS funding.
